A Word from Josh:
It's been more than a year since we last played in Sheboygan, even longer since we've played Dave's Who's Inn. It was nice to be back in this nice room with the high ceilings and kick-ass house P.A. system. Of course, the one down-side is the flight of stairs that we had to haul all of our equipment up. Anyway, we saw a lot of old friends, including Shelly Korlesky who was celebrating her birthday with a bunch of friends including Karen Fleck, Eric Crittinger and Laurie Abraham. In fact, this party was a major reason that the club booked us for this show and it all worked out very well. In all, we had a good crowd who's enthusiasm really kept us going most of the night. Some of the other familiar faces included Barb Prueher, Lisa Heberlein, Karen Stream, Lynn Smith, Robyn Amber, Erika Kaegler, Sandy Guell and Jeff Wakefield. Among the "new faces" were three young ladies who told us that they came up from their homes in Illinois just to see us. Unfortunately the night came to a rather anticlimactic ending. Poor John had been singing his heart out for two nights straight and was really running out of gas down the stretch. As a result, we cut a couple of songs from the end of the list and allowed Jeff Wakefield to come up and sing "I Wanna Rock". As it turned out, Jeff didn't know as many of the lyrics as he thought. Afterward, John didn't have the strength to return to the stage despite a hearty chant from the thinned late-night crowd. Fortunately, these folks won't have to wait too long for more Cherry Pie as we are scheduled to return to this room on December 15. See you there.     - Josh
